Yonex Introduces Off-Site PPA at Tokyo Factory to Advance Carbon Neutrality

TOKYO, Japan – Yonex Co., Ltd. is proud to announce that it has introduced renewable energy through an off-site Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) *1 in April 2025 at its Tokyo Factory, marking a significant step toward achieving carbon neutrality.
Yonex will receive renewable electricity from GLOBAL ENGINEERING Co., Ltd., an electricity retailer, and Reivalue, Inc., an intermediary operator, with Nagase & Co., Ltd. coordinating the overall initiative.
The renewable energy generated by a solar power plant (total solar panel capacity: 780.8 kW) will cover approximately 15% of Tokyo Factory’s electricity consumption, resulting in an estimated annual reduction of 290 tons of CO2 emissions*2.
This initiative aligns with the "Carbon Neutrality" pillar of the "Yonex Environmental Vision 2050." Yonex will continue to expand the use of renewable energy and promote efforts to advance carbon neutrality throughout its entire supply chain.
*1: Off-site PPA refers to the purchase of renewable electricity and its associated environmental value from power generation facilities, such as solar power plants, installed at locations outside the company’s premises.
*2: Based on Yonex research.
